lod!
this year i have not make any trip to paloh yet but last weekend my singaporean friends manage to catch 120 pcs with the average size 7-8 kgs and the most productive method is bait fishing which contribute 70% of the catches, they mostly use soft black rubber coated wire.
I if have no alternative i will coloured the leader wire only and not on the jig asist hook, the hard steel assist hook do effect the hookup compare to soft steel.
but last year i use the cheapo green rubber coated wire 60lbs still got cut off but at least they dont bite shy. Also manage to have a sample of the titanium tooth proof hybrid wire very very thin in diameter, soft and knottable

from some singaporean angler that work fantastic but cost a fortune and also no longer available in singapore , only one time sample shipment .
If can get hold some it sure can beef up our arsenal against those devils.
