Helo...

I am looking for new fishing buddy in the Kota Kinabalu. Recently i am
working in KK and will be there from time to time. Really interested in
having fishing buddy there but dont know how to get to know a few. I
hope this tread will help me get to know few friends which is in KK now
and do drop me your phone contact here if you are a regular casting
kaki. Targeting shoreline fishing with lure or live bait.... Such a
beautiful place but where is the best spot for casting...?

sure sure, come come, i intro some kakis to you. some die hard haruan fans oso got. but me more into shore casting and bottoming.. hahaha... if the time is right, can also go for boat around gaya island. scare you got no time only. But tides here rather different, so is like best time to cast sometimes is after 2 months! will show you why when you are here. basically the tide difference between peak and bottom is only 2-3m... over 12 hours somemore... so you can imagine how slow the tide is.

O-F,

rod n reels here more expensive. braid oso expensive. everything la.. KK most expensive... except vegies n some seafood... ya.. i think better bring your reel, rod wise i can still borrow u or u can get from tackle shop  (there's one around your new office there). but choices here r very limited. But i can bring u around and have a look at other places. Will be moving to Lintas, not far from your country height there.
