ok here goes i'm from kuching!!! any one here didn't know that hehehehhe also known as FB and we have a fishing team called Team FB (for those with better than average imagination you should be able to work out another name that FB stands for heheheh) nel like that good enough??

hehehhe as instructed by nel i am an engineer by trade and deal mostly with civil works as well as specialised mechanical and hydraulic repairs. In my spare time other than fishing that is, i build my own fishing rods and for those of you silly people out there no i don't make the rod blanks  i only space the guides and do the binding myself and if i happen to be in a good mood then i do some decorative bindings as well.

Been fishing and keeping fish since i was 4 though through the years while i was in Sydeny studying, fishing for me became land based as i could not afford the charter fees over there though that is not necessarily a bad thing cos the land based fish can also get quite big at times. Since now i am back in malaysia where charter fees are more affordable i try to go fishing every second week during the fishing season and during the off season i head for the eastury with my 14 footer towed behind my Ford Ranger. Fishing people will always find something to fish i say

If you meet me in real life, just call me John. I'm from Miri and have been living in Kuching since 2000.

Aside from fishing or boat testing activities, please call me up if you need any help with network security, systems development & integration, IT infrastructure consulting, HR consulting & training programmes, or for a drink at a nearby coffee shop.

Yo mamas. It's Dan here... thus my moniker, mangrooveDan. FB and Nelson call me MD. I fish from time to time... usually estuary fishing and sometimes out in the deep blue sea. As for freshwater... I am current recce-ing some locations in the up country. Wat else can I say, but to compliment Nelson on a job well done for this site. Keep up the good work mate.

Hooked on to this crazy sport of fishing back in 2000 during my Uni's days in Perth Australia. Well, yet to expose to many form of fishing and areas around the nearby region -- all thanks to my deadly low pay, long & erratic hours job

Okie, Nel, got "fisherGIRL" to introduce for the hardwork for self introduction here? Me no wife no son no girlfriend (all run away after notice the fish stink on me and smell no $$$)

My Name is Leslie Almodiel, though a Filipino by race, but born and bred in Singapore. Come to think of it, I never stepped in Philipines before .

I'm 45 yrs old, married with two kids, girl 12yrs and boy 9yrs. I'm what you might say a born again angler. Since my early teens  I use to enjoy fishing as it was a pretty cheap sport and nothing physical but I soon lost interest when I joined the Army, girls, disco, beer, movies, more girls.... you know the routine

However when I was in my early thirties, I took up the passion again as I was served a 'life sentence' with the smallest handcuff in the world, a wedding ring

Although I was back into fishing it was not as serious until in 2003 where together with my nephew, Dyran, and friend, Kelvin got to know a few people at Fishingkaki.com gathering. And from there we form a fishing team call Team SLAP which is an acronym for Sounds Like A Plan in which my nephew coined, when ever I asked him if he wanted to go fishing

However being in a team does not necessary mean we are all experience anglers on contrary, I feel like a newbie whenever I chat to people over the forum with lots to learn. Fishing is not only a sport, but an art as well.

My only regret now is missing my earlier days of fishing, where there were more and bigger fishers.

Currently I'm still in the Army, have another 10 more years before I retire. I'm unable to afford a boat on my pay...so the only way I can continue fishing , is to join Kel (another Team Slap member) on his quest to become a deckie is some luxury boat/yacht...

Geez!! This a pretty long intro, hope I didn't bore you guys!!!

Tight Lines and Screaming Reels,

Les

Hi forumers Bro RK reporting here..... I'm close to 51 but looked like 15.. have a 16 yr old girl sandwiched between 2 boys umur 20 & 11 yrs. Lucky to have a supporting mamozelle who always cleared my fishing visas without fail..    Been into fishing since I was 10 as our family lived pretty close to the sea (those were the days where nice beaches were a common feature all round S'pore)...the only one in the family who dun mind getting burnt.

Used to work in the marine industry for 10 yrs before switching to the comfort of the education industry in the form of NUS Civil Engineering Dept in 1982 till now. (I'm not a lecturer ya..just another kuching kurap making use of public funds to do R&D on fishing tackles .) .. hopefully till retirement lah...then can go Sarawak to meet you nice people and  fish at least once a year.

As my avatar suggested, I have a team of gila kakis ranging from 34 - 64 yrs in age in team SEPAK and we frequented areas such as Tg Pinang, Batam, Pemanggil & Trengganu to get treatment for our never ending addiction.....

We met regularly in Beach Road ( S'pore fishing haven ) before each trip for teh tarik halia & barang2 pancing of course and on certain occasion, some members of team SLAP and other forumers from the fishing fraternity will join us in our meet-ups...so thats about  for now folks....

Meantime, stay safe & healthy fellas.....

Rgds

Bro RK aka Amberjack Hunter

Genie is the nick, adrian is the name, 34, sales manager for courier and logistic firm.

Interest in fishing and boating. Fish saltwater extensively locally since schooling days. Loves our sea, rivers and the mangrove swamp so made effort to be there every weekend. Currently doing costal fishing more than open sea fishing cos my boss sell off his 25 footers.

In future, looking forward to do scuba and venture into fish rearing.
